MEET THE BREAD

We hand make hearty, rustic, sourdough loaves using locally-milled whole grain flours and organic ingredients. Whether they're oozing toasted cheese, or packed with nuts and seeds, our breads are as at home on a charcuterie plate as they are in a sandwich. We strive to make breads that are nourishing and delicious. Each loaf takes around 72 hours to make, end to end. We think it’s worth the wait.

OUR BREADS


THE COUNTRY SOURDOUGH
Just flour, water, and salt, this sourdough loaf is an instant classic. Made from freshly-milled whole grain flour, our sourdough takes 72 hours from start to finish. The baker likes to enjoy this with butter and sea salt.



BAKER'S CHOICE
A rotating cast of “Baker’s Choice” specialty breads. Each week we offer a different Baker’s Choice option, using delicious, organic, and locally sourced ingredients from seeds to herbs to cheeses and more. If you missed one you think you’ll love, worry not - it will come back around. This list will continue to grow, and we intend to adapt it to change with the seasons.


Whole Wheat
100% whole grains. A blend of hard red spring wheat, soft white winter wheat, and rye flours. You’ll be surprised at how much you love whole wheat bread with this one. We love it toasted and slathered with almond butter and honey.

Oat Porridge
Country loaf with oat porridge inside, rolled oats outside. The porridge sneaks some extra water into the dough, which means an extra lush interior. Share it at a picnic with your horse. Or don’t. The horse can get its own.

Hundo Rye
100% whole grain rye pan bread, with a mix of pumpkin, flax, and sunflower seeds. Not quite as dark as a pumpernickel, not as light as a deli rye. This one is hearty and substantial, and keeps for-e-ver.

Miso & Sesame Whole wheat
Whole wheat loaf made with miso paste and inundated with sesame seeds, inside and out. Miso paste, a staple of Japanese cooking, adds an earthy, salty, ferment-y umami burst that compliments the whole wheat sourdough and pairs well with the nuttiness of toasted sesame seeds. Use it for a turkey or tuna sandwich or anything you would find near a sushi roll, really.
